What is Autism?

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a person's ability to communicate, interact socially, and learn.

Some characteristics of an individual

with ASD can include;

  • Social communication difficulties: Challenges with understanding and using social cues, difficulty with eye contact, and reduced interest in social interactions.

  • Restricted interests and repetitive behaviors: Intense focus on specific topics or objects, and repetitive movements or routines.

  • Sensory sensitivities: Hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to sounds, textures, or smells.

Planning a ASD friendly vacation?

All of our Autism Travel services include sourcing travel options from our Autism certified/friendly vendors. We ensure the airline, hotel/resort and additional travel accommodations are as sensory friendly as possible and aware of your travel needs/accommodations to ensure a safe and  memorable travel experience!

Autism Travel is special to me as a momma to a beautiful 6yr old boy navigating life on the Autism Spectrum! He's successfully navigated the magic of Disney World for his 5th Birthday & just recently returned from his birthday vacation in
the Dominican Republic!

Challenges may present themselves when traveling with ASD;
but when you prepare ahead of time
& secure as many accommodations as possible; it's usually smooth sailing!
If we can travel the world navigating life on
the ASD spectrum; so can YOU & your family!
